In a press conference, Brigadier General Yahya Saree said 15 drones and 2 ballistic missiles were used in the operation which started late Monday and was wrapped up at dawn on Monday.
10 Sammad-3 drones targeted Aramco facilities in Jeddah and Al-Jubail, Saree said, adding that military targets in Khamis Mushait and Jizan were hit by 5 Qasif 2-K drones and 2 Badr-1 ballistic missiles.
“The operation achieved its goals,” the spokesman said, vowing that more attacks will take place in the coming days as the Saudi-led coalition has been stepping up its aggression against the Arab impoverished country.
Yemeni revolutionaries have been in the latest weeks stepping up attacks against Saudi military targets in retaliation for the 6-year aggression.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally. Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab country has been also under harsh blockade b the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
