Al Khalifa nervous about Shia leader's health conditions

London, July 8, IRNA – Jalal Firooz, a former Bahraini Member of Parliament, said on Sunday that transferring Sheikh Isa Ghasem to London for treatment is a sign of nervousness of the Al Khalifa regime.

Speaking to Islamic Republic News Agency, Firooz said that death of this prominent cleric could entail broad political consequences for Manama.

'There is much pressure from different countries on the Al Khalifa regime now,' Firooz said.

The doctors have warned if Sheikh Isa Ghasem does not receive treatment, he may die, he added.

This cleric has been under house arrest by agents of the Bahrain regime for months, Firouz said, adding that Al Khalifa has now agreed with his transfer to London out of nervousness, but pretends that the decision was a favor by the King.
