Of the newly recorded cases, 155 were detected among the local population and 20 from incoming travelers.
With two new deaths registered as a result of the virus, the total number of fatalities was raised to 61.
The number of PCR tests administered in the past 24 hours was 8,738 according to the Health Ministry report.
