Lebanon’s Health Minister Strikes Pharmaceutical Mafia, Closes Drug Warehouses & Pharmacies with Red Wax
The Lebanese health minister, Dr. Hamad Hasan, raided on Thursday in Zahle and other Bekaa areas drug warehouses and pharmacies involved in smuggling medicines to foreign countries, closing them with red wax upon the indications of the Appeal General Prosecutor in the Bekaa, Munif Barakat.
Dr.Hasan stressed that the pharmaceutical mafia started collapsing, indicating that the health ministry obtained critical data about monopolizing large amounts of medical drugs among pharmaceutical shortage across the country.
Lebanon has been suffering from shortage of medical drugs in the pharmaceutical market after certain operations of monopolizing and smuggling medicines became widespread due to the instability of the national currency’s exchange rate.
The secretary-general of Lebanon’s resistance movement of Hezbollah says the Israeli regime's "life is reaching its end", stressing that even normalization deals will fail to protect the occupying regime.
Iranian Parliament Speaker’s Special Aide for International Affairs said that the United States, Saudi Arabia and France are pursuing a policy to weaken Resistance in Lebanon.
The secretary-general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has warned against attempts by certain groups to foment a civil war in the cash-strapped country on economic, racial, and religious grounds, emphasizing that the movement will not allow anyone to realize such a fiendish plot.
