Lebanon’s Health Minister Says Coordinating with Central Bank to Support Hospitals in Face of Pandemic
The caretaker minister of public health, Dr. Hamad Hasan, met on Friday President Michel Aoun at Baabda Palace, updating him on the latest developments of the coronavirus outbreak.
After the meeting, Dr. Hasan said that he was coordinating with the Central Bank the issue of providing the financial support to the private hospitals amid the economic crisis in face of the pandemic.
The health minister added that the sharp increase of the coronavirus cases in Lebanon is alarming, noting that the total lockdown must be mulled well before approving it.
Lebanon recorded Thursday 2089 coronavirus cases with seven related deaths.
