Lebanon: Development and Liberation Bloc Submits Draft Law to Classify Port Blast Martyrs as Those of LAF
The Development and Liberation parliamentary bloc, represented by its member MP Ali Hasan Khalil, submitted on Wednesday a draft law that classifies martyrs claimed in Beirut Port blast as those of the Lebanese army.
According to the same draft law, those who were injured in the port explosion would benefit from a lifetime social insurance.
A massive explosion rocked Beirut port on August 4, 2020, killing around 200 people and wounding more than 6000.
The blast also destroyed most of the port’s constructions and damaged a huge number of buildings in the capital and its suburbs.
The secretary-general of Lebanon’s resistance movement of Hezbollah says the Israeli regime's "life is reaching its end", stressing that even normalization deals will fail to protect the occupying regime.
Iranian Parliament Speaker’s Special Aide for International Affairs said that the United States, Saudi Arabia and France are pursuing a policy to weaken Resistance in Lebanon.
The secretary-general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has warned against attempts by certain groups to foment a civil war in the cash-strapped country on economic, racial, and religious grounds, emphasizing that the movement will not allow anyone to realize such a fiendish plot.
