Ceremonies to mark the 28th demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini were staged in a magnificent manner in Tehran.
The ceremonies are no longer ceremonial rather it has accommodated a new revolutionary concept that has got well beyond the boundaries of Iran.
That is because Imam Khomeini’s thoughts span the entire races, sects and religions and thus go beyond geographical and political borders, taking a place in the hearts of nations.
The thoughts of Imam Khomeini have already been paraded in the national movements in Yemen and Bahrain.
Imperialists have grown worried about the thoughts; yesterday in Iraq and Lebanon and now also in Egypt and Tunisia.
They thought Khomeini’s revolutionary doctrine would be buried with his demise however his thoughts moved the world over thank to efforts of his savvy successor, Ayatollah Sayyyed Ali Khamenei.
Imam Khamenei has been trusted with a very large mission that is to keep the thoughts of Imam Khomeini from any deviation or politicization.
And one of these thoughts was Imam Khomeini’s pro-Palestinian attitude. The Qods News Agency (Qodsna) staged a pro-Palestinian campaign on the sidelines of the main ceremonies. The campaign received a high welcome on the part of the fasting participants, showing that the love for Imam Khomeini is intertwined with hate of Israel.
The campaign was part of the global Towards Quds (‘Jerusalem’) Campaign.
Imam Khomeini always stood with the underprivileged people against the arrogant ones.
