Iranian expert in regional affairs said the case of the ISIS terror group provided Israel with an opportunity to advance their expansionist policies but it faced the regional resistance. The Palestinian issue serves as the symbol of power of the Muslim community in countering the world arrogance.
A press conference on the latest developments in the al-Aqasa mosque was staged in the office of the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) in Tehran on Monday.
The presser heard from Head of research center in the Islamic Awakening World Assembly, Hossein Akbari as well as representatives of the Islamic Jihad and Hamas movements in Tehran, Naser Abu Sharif and Khaled Qoddoumi.
Early in the session, Abu Sharif appreciated the Palestinian nation for their firm resolve in thwarting the Israeli conspiracies against the al-Aqsa mosque, adding the Israeli conspiracy is not constrained to the security gates and metal detectors "rather they have a strategy for the entire Palestine and seek to Judaize it in total."
The Islamic Jihad representative however said the situation otherwise was an opportunity for restoring the Palestinian issue as the topmost issue of the Muslim community after it was sidelined by the upheavals in the Muslim world.
Abu Sharif said to reach the goal the Muslim ummah must get united rather than engaging in schism against one another.
Next in the session, Hossein Akbari said Israel in the past two decades has growingly become weaker despite the western support.
The expert in regional affairs said the case of the ISIS terror group provided Israel with an opportunity to advance their expansionist policies but it faced the regional resistance. "The Palestinian issue serves as the symbol of power of the Muslim community in countering the world arrogance," he said.
The expert touched on a call by the Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei that Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank must be armed; "the Islamic resistance took to the field with its young generation," he appreciated.
Akbari added however the Muslim community suffered lack of unity in the Palestinian issue, adding as long as the community remains in discord, it would be dominated by the world arrogance, led by the US government.
Also, Hamas representative in Tehran, Khaled Qoddoumi said the Palestinian nation was conscious in the face of the Israeli conspiracies.
The Palestinian figure warned about suggestions by certain Israeli authorities that urge an opening of the al-Aqsa mosque to Jews, adding the mosque was endangered and needed the support of Muslims.
Qoddoumi also slammed certain world states for closing their eyes to the atrocities of Israel while speaking of human rights. He also called on the Muslim community to point out what it has made for the al-Aqsa mosque.
Titled ‘al-Aqsa mosque, Islamic priority, continued resistance,’ the press conference was co-organized by Qosdna and the secretariat of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening.
