Lebanon Records 3100 New Coronavirus Infections with 49 Related Deaths

The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Friday its daily report in which it announced 3100 new coronavirus cases, 3088 of them for locals and 12 for the arrivals, raising total to 455381.

  The report added that 20003 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 356820. According to the report, 49 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 6013. The report noted that 122376 citizens received the first shot Pfizer vaccine, adding that the second shot have been given to 64756 of them. Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of Pfizer vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut on a weekly basis. Moreover, on March 22, the country started a new phase of a comprehensive plan to ease a total lockdown and reopen the economic sectors which took into effect on the eight of the same month.
