Iranian assembly issues statement on US recognition

Secretariat of the Global Assembly of Islamic Awakening has warned about the repercussions of the US move to recognize the occupied al-Quds as the capital of Israel.     It said in a statement that the Middle East was undergoing newer conditions, adding despite all scenarios for making the region insecure, the axis of resistance is going ahead with maturity.  It said the gains of the resistance front namely the ISIS defeat was the beginning of a new chapter for the force of regional resistance, adding the enemy would n not remain silent and would embark on conspiracies to turn the tide.     The statement considered the Kurdistan poll and the Lebanese premier’s resignation as parts of the scenario, adding the US recognition of the occupied al-Quds as the capital of Israel was another part of the scenario.     The statement said the US seeks to remove the Palestinian issue forever by the recognition, adding the USA is in a hidden collaboration with the Arab reactionary regimes in the recognition decision.  The assembly urged all intellectuals of the Divine religions to show precise and wise reactions to the recognition decision and promote the public opinion about the dangerous developments.  It also called the US decision as an insult to Muslims and a US version of the Balfour Declaration.
