Lebanon’s Minister of Health: Battle against Coronavirus is Still Ongoing

Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hassan, on Tuesday confirmed during a joint press conference with Caretaker Minister of Information, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, that Lebanon had been hailed for its distinctive role managing the fist wave of the novel Coronavirus, thus it received heaps of praise for its responsible response to the pandemic.

“Now, amidst the second wave of the pandemic, we have to remind our fellow citizens that the battle is still ongoing,” Hassan added, noting that “a conscious and educated society will the safety valve of this stage.” Moreover, Hassan reminded of the urgent role of relevant departments that “have to keep pace with the Ministry of Health, which is not responsible for field follow-up on the military and security levels. He finally revealed that there were achievements that were being accomplished without being highlighted by the media. Meanwhile, Dr. Hasan received from the ambassador of India to Lebanon Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan on Tuesday a consignment of medical aids, containing 70 boxes of PPEs, in context of supporting Lebanon in its fight against Covid-19.
