Two Sudanese Workers Confuse Already Alarmed Israeli Army at Lebanon Border

The border region between Lebanon and the Palestinian occupied territories was a scene of tensions late on Saturday, with sounds of explosions heard in the area.

Al-Manar correspondent in south Lebanon Ali Shoeib reported that the Israeli occupation army fired more than dozen flare shells at the area facing the settlement of Menara. “Between 23:00 and 23:45, the Israeli army fired around 15 flare shells in the area,” Shoeib said, adding that Israeli helicopters were spotted in the region. Calls via speakers were heard, urging Israeli settlers to stay home, the reporter said, noting that the it came out that two Sudanese workers were attempting to infiltrate the border from Lebanon to the occupied territories. Occupation army then announced that it had arrested two suspects who crossed the border from Lebanon, clarifying that the men were Sudanese migrants. Source: Al-Manar English Website
