‘Loyalty to Resistance’ Renews Call for Creation of Efficient and Productive Government

The “Loyalty to the Resistance” parliamentary bloc on Thursday highlighted the necessity of reaching an agreement that leads to a speedy creation of a new “efficient” and “productive” government, stressing the procrastination in this file has become more costly than any concession.

In a statement issued following its weekly meeting, the bloc underlined that the new government “should neither be held hostage nor threatened with unbalance.” The “Loyalty to Resistance” bloc underlined the importance of the vaccination program, hailing the health ministry’s plan to import more vaccines. The bloc also highlighted the role of the new judicial investigator into the Beirut Port blast in unveiling the truth behind the catastrophic incident, calling, in this regard, for the release of the detainees who proved to be innocent. On the World Bank’s social protection loan, the bloc maintained that Lebanon’s need of credit did not mean the acceptance of any terms and conditions conflicting with the Lebanese best interest. “Certainly, all the effective international laws and practices offer facilitation that lenders should consider while discussing the loan agreement,” the bloc said. On a different note, the bloc called the government and the competent ministries for leading a campaign at the UN and the international instances, to mobilize for the treatment of the offshore oil spill, holding the Israeli enemy responsible for this attack on Lebanon’s environment.
